The Mt. Judah Loop trail is a locals favorite on Donner Summit. This hike is considered a moderately challenging hike over 5 1/2 miles and around 1300' of elevation gain. This hike can be completed in a half day at around 3-4 hours. Part of the trail is on the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) and then makes a loop to the summit of Mt. Judah. The trail, views, and scenery are unmatched. Early summer conditions have some of the best wildflowers in the greater Lake Tahoe area, with beautiful fall colors in September and October.
All of our day hikes can be done as private trips for you and your group. This hike requires a minimum of 2 participants to run.
