PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION FOR BACKCOUNTRY ENTHUSIASTS

 

Tahoe Mountain School offers educational courses and guided adventures including avalanche courses, backcountry skiing and splitboarding, mountaineering, and wilderness medicine.  We employ the best in the industry to instruct and guide our courses.  Among our team are American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA) certified mountain guides, IFMGA Guides (International Federation of Mountain Guides Association), local avalanche forecasters and practitioners, and certified AIARE 1 and 2 avalanche instructors.  Tahoe Mountain School spends its' time in the field focusing on hands-on learning, coaching, supervised decision-making, and good times.  We provide current, detailed backcountry training and guided adventures to all recreationalists and professionals who play or work in the mountain environment.

Shasta to the north offers beautiful and varied terrain to satisfy all levels and abilities.  We have one of the longest ski and snow climbing seasons in the world.
