Trevor Husted Guide - Instructor Strapped into boots and skis against his will as a young toddler may have the best thing that ever happened to Trevor. The instance was a jumping off point that spurred growth towards a new found respect for nature that would became a lifelong journey. From the Cascades to the Alps, the Himalayas to the Andes and the mountain ranges, oceans, and rivers in between Trevor learned to shape and carve out a path that allowed him to share this deep connection and passion for the outdoors with others. As an educator, splitboard, and ski guide he brings his experience to the mountains where he shares his knowledge and skills with eager learners. When not skiing or splitboarding he can be found twiddling his guitar, sizzling up some healthy eats, or seeking waves for surf and tacky dirt for mountain biking at home or on the road. Evan Haines Guide - Instructor Evan was born and raised right here in Truckee, Ca. He grew up skiing in the North Lake Tahoe area and has been on skis for nearly his whole life. He began climbing with friends on Donner Summit in high school. After a few years living in Argentina, Evan now splits his time between the Truckee/ Tahoe area, the Ruby Mountains in Nevada-where he works as a guide with Ruby Mountain Helicopter Skiing, the Eastern Sierra, and South America, in either Chile or Argentina. He is an AMGA apprentice ski and alpine guide, a certified SPI, and AIARE instructor. Where ever he is located he is trying to ski or climb. If he is not on the snow or the rock he is likely on a bike. |

Andrew Alissandratos Guide - Instructor Andrew was born and raised in Florida, but quickly tired of swamps and alligators, and decided to trade it all in for bottomless powder days and splitter cracks. Since moving to Tahoe almost a decade ago he has dove head first into splitboarding and rock climbing and continues to look for bigger lines and harder climbs while exploring the ranges across the Americas. However, he always finds his way home to the Sierra Nevada where he spends most of his time. The mountains are where Andrew feels most himself and while perfect turns and climbing big rocks is super rad, sharing the experiences with people and the knowledge he has gained in the mountains over the years is truly his passion. Andy Paul Guide - Instructor Andy grew up in California and spent summers in Alaska. He started his splitboard journey in Colorado’s Front Range. He has taught multi-week avalanche and winter expedition courses in Idaho and Wyoming. As a 10 year instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) he has experience leading expeditions for NOLS in Alaska, Wyoming, American Southwest and Baja California. He is an apprentice AMGA Alpine Guide, completed his Pro 1 from American Avalanche Institute and part of the AIARE Instructor team. Andy splits his time between Tahoe/Truckee and Southcentral Alaska. In his off time, he loves exploring the couloirs of California, the alpine terrain of the Canadian Rockies, and rivers and coast of Alaska with his partner and friends. |

Jason Champion Guide - Instructor Jason is an AMGA Certified Splitboard guide, an Alaska Heli ski guide, and an AIARE avalanche educator. He has been guiding for sixteen years. Jason is Lead Guide for Tahoe Mountain School, Splitboard Guides International, Pulesline Adventure, and West Wind Collective. Jason works in the Chugach range of Alaska and the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. His specialty is slope safety for Ski and Snowboard projects as well as big mountain contest events such as King of the Hill and The Natural Selection Tour. Backcountry snowboarding and mountaineering is his main focus, and teaching snow safety and best practice is his professional pursuit. In the summer, Jason operates a small painting company and enjoys raising his family in the beautiful Sierra Valley. In the Winter Jason is happy to be camping in a remote location somewhere in the mountains of the western United States. |

Bryan Unger Guide - Instructor Bryan comes from the internationally renowned ski destination of Tucson, Arizona. He picked up backcountry skiing while attending Westminster College in Salt Lake City. He quickly progressed into ski mountaineering and found himself wanting to spend as much time as possible in the mountains. As an AMGA apprentice ski & alpine guide and AIARE Course Instructor Team member he now gets to do just that. Truckee is home but he looks forward to his yearly journey to the PNW where he guides on Mt. Shasta and extends his ski season well into July by venturing to the North Cascades on his days off. He loves to mountain bike and enjoys contributing to our local food web by working part-time for the local non-profit, Tahoe Food Hub. |

Alexander Vasarab Guide - Instructor Alexander first strapped into crampons and picked up a piolet while living in Europe in the mid-2000s. Since then, climbing and skiing has taken him to multiple countries, states, and provinces, across a variety of contexts: recreation, guiding, and education. His guiding philosophy arcs towards autonomy and self-empowerment for his guests. When not in the mountains, he enjoys cooking, reading, esoteric technologies, and cigars of Nicaraguan origin. Bill Seline Guide - Instructor Bill Seline began worked as a ski patroller and paramedic early in his career. He has been teaching avalanche courses and ski guiding for over 20 years. He is a certified A1 and A2 avalanche course leader through the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE). Some of Bill’s experience includes serving in the past on the Education Committee for AIARE, Wilderness Medical Instructor (WFA, WFR, WEMT), Level 3 certified PSIA Telemark ski instructor. Bill has completed the Ski Guide Course through the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), and a professional member of the American Avalanche Association and Wilderness Medical Society. |

Steven Reynaud Owner - Guide - Instructor Tahoe Mountain School owner/instructor/guide, Steve Reynaud, has been teaching avalanche courses since 1999 and ski guiding since 2005. He is a certified A1 and A2 avalanche course leader through the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE). Steve is an avalanche forecaster for the Sierra Avalanche Center and has been working for the organization since 2006. Steve is a certified Ski Guide through the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), a Wilderness EMT, and a professional member of the American Avalanche Association. |

Max Wittenberg Guide - Instructor Max Wittenberg is Tahoe Mountain Schools’ splitboard specialist. Having been on a board since the ripe young age of 7, he brings a unique perspective to travelling safely in the mountains. Max is a certified AIARE Level 1 instructor, American Mechanized Ski Guide Level 2, US Heli Ski accredited Guide Member and a Wilderness First Responder. Aside from working for TMS, he splits his time as a heli ski guide in Alaska and New Zealand, and is an instructor for Colorado Mountain College in their Outdoor Recreation program. Having worked in wide range of mountains all over North America and the Southern Hemisphere, he knows how to safely manage groups in all conditions. While constantly on the move, he calls Donner Summit his home where endless backcountry opportunities wait out his back door. |

David Reichel Guide - Instructor As soon as David graduated from college he ran to the mountains and has been working and playing in the Sierra ever since. While he guides all aspects of mountain travel, making powder turns is probably his favorite way to spend a day. If he had business cards, they would probably say, snownerd. David is an experienced AIARE Course Leader and has taught more Level 2's than anyone else in California. David is the Executive Director for the Sierra Avalanche Center and also a professional observer. He founded the annual California Avalanche Workshop in 2014. |
